A preload adjuster might sound like a small thing, but anyone who has needed to make changes to their shock settings knows that being able to do quick, easy adjustments can make a big difference. XTRIG had off-road racers in mind when the company designed its rear shock preload adjuster, which offers the maximum adjustment range with minimal effort.
XTRIG preload adjusters make changing the rear shock absorber preload settings quick thanks to the simple design – an 8mm T-handle is the only tool needed to make adjustments. The adjuster utilizes the complete length of the shock body’s threads to move up and down, so it offers a greater range of adjustment.
The adjusters are not hydraulic. Instead, the mechanical design has a worm drive gear system, which means there is no oil and no seals that might spring a leak. XTRIG’s engineers also took the off-road riding environment into consideration when they designed the preload adjusters; an area has been machined into the inner ring to allow dirt to wash out, keeping the shock assembly cleaner and running smoothly.
- Makes changing the rear shock absorber spring preload settings very quick and easy and replaces both preload rings on your shocks.
- In their place is a mechanical device that uses the shock body’s threads to move an adjuster up and down.
- The preload adjuster makes race sag adjustments quickly and easily.
- Mechanical transmission.
- Use the complete thread of the shock absorber.
- Easy handling.
- Adjust the preload very quickly.
- Low weight.
- Not affected by dirt.
- Patent pending.
NOTE: Rear shock must be disassembled for install.
